The majority of your doctor appointments are a full 30 minutes to allow plenty of time for a thorough exam and address questions and concerns.
Wellness Exam
This is a preventative care examination for your pet ideally done with you present in the exam room. During this visit we will ask you a variety of specific questions regarding your pet's health, behavior and happiness.
We will discuss all immunization options to tailor a vaccine protocol based on your pet's needs and risks of vaccine reaction. We will discuss any new trends, toxicities and illnesses in pet medicine with you.
You will be given time to questions and discuss nutrition, exercise, behavior and other interests you may have. We like to perform 30 minute exams yearly for healthy pets and more frequently for senior pets or pets that have chronic conditions. Pets age much quicker than humans do and we like to be on top of aging changes to prevent suffering or before the ailment becomes problematic.
We leave appointment time available each day to fill in case your pet has medical needs that require attention right away. We also offer drop-off pet appointments if our appointment times have been filled and your pet requires care. As a last resort, we have relationships with after hours and emergency clinics and trust their level of care should the need arise.
We work hard to offer your pet the safest vaccinations and discuss your pet's vaccine options with you extensively. Our vaccine protocols are conservative and safe.
Our pharmacy and veterinarians offer many natural options to medicine in the event this interests you. We have many natural anti-oxidant and arthritic formulas and have a great referral base for acupuncture and rehabilitation.
We offer a full in-house lab that allows us to run bloodwork for both preventative health, as well as diagnosing illness. We are able to perform full blood chemistries, complete blood counts, manual blood film reading, electrolytes, thyroid testing, heartworm testing, fecal analysis, urinalysis, cytologies and more in the lab. Our results are accurate, efficient and allow you to receive answers to your pet health concerns quickly.
We offer in house x-ray abilities to our owners and their pets. Our x-ray machine is very safe and effective at taking quality radiographs should they be needed for your pet and assists in diagnosing conditions that require imaging. We perform specialized procedures for diagnosis also, such as barium studies and utilize diagnostic imaging for our ultrasounds within our clinic when needed.
A Board Certified Radiologist is available to read our radiographs to supplement our diagnostic process on a regular basis. Ultrasounds are even being used preventatively to diagnose conditions earlier when they are more treatable.
